NaNo Day 1

Today marks the first day of National Novel Writing Month 2011! I'm pretending to be super confident (and writing...). As promised, I've put together a collection of photos, quotes, and other things that inspire me to write like the wind or simply make me feel at peace with myself (and my muse).

The contemporary romance rewrite I'm using NaNo to complete takes place here on the Gulf Coast in my hometown. It also takes place during October and November, our sparse autumn months. I found a beautiful collection of photos that capture autumn's beauty all across the country on at OurAmazingPlanet.com! Here's one that really spoke to me....

Find more photos from this collection here.... And while we're on the subject of fall, I had my first pumpkin spice latte a few weeks ago. It's really a shame that Starbucks serves them for a limited time only because I could drink one every morning with my pre-writing warm-up. Plus, I love the way the combined cinnamon, nutmeg, clove, espresso, and pumpkin syrup make the house smell like fall....

This year I sense I'll have much to be thankful for.... I just have to get through the first 25 days of writing reps to get there... Starting now....
