I just completed a round of questions for a reviewer bio to go up soon at The Season. Realized I haven't done a round of Q&A here in a while so here's what I said..
Q. What are your favorite romantic sub-genres?
A. I don't have a favorite romantic genre. It changes from month-to-month. I think I read more regency romance and paranormal romance than anything else. Though I love a good medieval or western or even inspirational. See? I'm indecisive.
Q. Who are your favorite romantic authors?
A. Nora Roberts/J.D. Robb, J.R. Ward, Betina Krahn, Diane Gaston, Larissa Ione and Jessica Anderson. My newest auto-buy author is Christine Wells. I also like Ann Aguirre whose books aren't listed as romance but they do have great romantic elements.
Q. What are your top 3 favorite all-time romance novels?
A. Oh, boy. This is a hard one. I'd have to go with Lover Mine by J.R. Ward, Ashes in the Wind by Kathleen E. Woodwiss, and... Okay, it's a tie between Nora's Public Secrets and Honest Illusions. They both kick major bootay. Honorable mentions are Betina Krahn's Enchantment Christine Wells's Wicked Little Game.
Q. What is your favorite plot type or theme?
A. I'm a sucker for reunion stories. I'm also a fan of the broody/tortured hero. I've noticed that I buy a lot of handicapped protagonists as well (Ex: blind heroine in Jillian Hart's Homespun Bride)
Q. Name the author everyone loves but you don't.
A. Stephanie Meyer. I'm with Charlaine Harris on this; vampires aren't supposed to sparkle.
Q. What are your biggest reading pet peeves?
A. Typos (result of editing manuscripts for 5+years) and unmotivated actions made by protagonists

A fellow TWRP author here! It does my heart good to know that Kathleen Woodiwiss is still being read by the "younger" generation:-) It was she who turned me on to romance books with her "The Flame and the Flower." I even named my daughter Heather after the heroine!
I'm a huge fan of Diana Gabaldon's Outlander series. I can't ever seem to get too much Jamie and Claire:-)
Pamela, I LOVED Ashes in the Wind. I think that Kathleen E. Woodiwiss is a legend in the romance industry and I was so saddened by her death.
I've wanted to try Diana Gabaldon for some time. Thanks for the recommendation!
