Movie Love!

I put together a list of movies I was looking forward to seeing last fall. Here I'm doing it again because I've seen quite a few trailers that have piqued my interest...and they might not be what you'd expect...

First of all, Disney's new Pixar movie, Brave. The trailer is just a small teaser of what's to come, but it occured to me soon after I watched it that this is the first Pixar movie with a female protagonist! Unfortunately, we won't be able to see what it's all about until next summer, but it looks as if it has more of the mystical, storybook look to it, like Disney's classic fairytale collection. I'm hoping, though, that Pixar brings its own brand of fresh, quirky originality to this movie genre. Watch for yourself and let me know what you think....

A movie I've been looking forward to getting a glimpse of is Meryl Streep's latest, The Iron Lady. After Julie & Julia, it's pretty clear that Meryl's got what it takes to tackle any actual female figure. Even one so recent as Margaret Thatcher. Her ability to disappear into someone else is endlessly fascinating to me. Here's a peek at The Iron Lady....

I'm not one to go gaga over 3D movies, but I'm definitely looking forward to this one! I love a good Three Musketeers project...especially when Matthrew Macfadyen and Orlando Bloom sign on....

Yeah, I know this one's a little more predictable of me, but I can't help it. I'll be one of those crazy mob people who line up in the early hours of the morning July 15 to see Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part II. I love the glimpse of Snape's story in the trailer. I'm looking forward to seeing how the director and writers brought about the end of his journey onscreen more than anything else....

And here's a little treat from Alan Rickman for you other Cozies who are as obsessed with Severus Snape as I am - his touching tribute to the film series and J.K. Rowling at Fandango. *sniffle*

Today I'll leave you with this video exclusively from Yahoo Shine - Breakfast at Tiffany's 50th Anniversary Blu-Ray special....

Your turn to list your must-see list of upcoming movies, Cozies! Shout 'em out :)

I know some of these are on my list too. Just lately the depth of movies has been lacking.

I was just thinking the other day, marybelle, that I wish screenwriters would go back to the substance we saw in the days of "Breakfast at Tiffany's." So much of what we see on the screen now is what we read in books or remakes like "The Three Musketeers."
